What to say? I am pretty much torn between: horrible! All that noise, dirt, smog, traffic etc. - and: fascinating! So many people, small alleyways, snow-clad 6000m mountains on the horizon... Half the city appears to be a street market. And there is almost all on sale, there even is the official witch craft section. Amulets, herbs, dried animals of all kinds - especially popular llama babies, apparently. But also quite nice cafes and restaurants, all slightly more expensive, but still dirt cheap. Met many former travel companions again. Good place for socializing.
Have to keep this short as I am already in Sorata. Managed to get the one (!) computer in town for a few minutes and as the power situation is stable at the moment, the internet even works! Had to wait all afternoon for this to happen. Few other tourists... Have bought supplies and will be off into the spectacular mountains for three or four days.
